One number per group

One number.
Everyone gets the text.

grpme gives every group its own real phone number. Members text that number, and everybody in the group gets it — carpool, shul, chaburah, the whole block. No app to install, no invite links, and nobody you're texting has to sign up for anything.

One text in.
Every phone out.

  1. Moishy texts the group's number, from his own Messages app.
  2. grpme sends it on to everyone else in the group, one at a time.
  3. Shloimy replies to the same number. It goes around again.

$5.00 a month a group. Then pay for what you send.

Every group gets its first 500 texts each month at a flat rate. After that you pay what the carrier charges us, and nothing on top of it.

The group's number Monthly
$5.00 / month

A dedicated long code of its own, not a shared shortcode. The carrier's own number rental comes out of this, not out of your balance as a second line.

First 500 texts Included
1.5 ¢ / text

The first 500 texts a group touches in a month. Counted per recipient, so one message out to 30 members is 30.

After the first 500 At cost
1.17 ¢ / text today

Exactly what the carrier bills us, settled against their own delivery report. It goes down if their rate does.

Each group phone number is $5.00 a month. A group's first 500 texts each month are $0.015 each, then what the carrier charges us — about $0.0117 a text — and nothing on top of it. Top-ups add a 3% card processing fee. Every text the group touches counts toward the 500: ones members send in, ones going out to each member, and automatic replies to STOP or HELP. Simulator groups are always free.

Three steps, and nobody installs anything.

1

Name your group

It's assigned a dedicated phone number the moment you create it — its own number, not a shared shortcode.

2

Add your people

Just names and mobile numbers. Nobody downloads anything, accepts an invite, or creates an account.

3

Everyone texts one number

A message to the group number fans out to every member. Replies come back the same way, in the app they already use.

A group chat that works on any phone.

Its own number, not a shortcode

Every group gets a dedicated long code, so replies are unambiguous and the thread lives in each person's normal Messages app.

No app, no accounts for members

Members never sign up for anything. If their phone can send a text, they're in — including the flip phone in the glovebox.

Opt-outs handled for you

STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, START and HELP are recognized and answered automatically, before anything is fanned out.

You can see every delivery

Per-recipient delivery status, including failures with the carrier's own error text. No guessing whether it landed.

Bring your own carrier

Twilio or Plivo, chosen per group. Routing follows the number, not a global setting, so groups can live on different carriers.

Try it without sending a text

A built-in simulator runs the identical inbound path, so you can explore the whole product at zero cost and zero real SMS.

Sent at a deliberate pace

Messages leave one at a time rather than in a burst. Carriers treat a hundred identical texts fired in the same second as spam and quietly drop them; paced sending is what keeps a fan-out arriving.

Numbers come back to your pool

A number released from a group returns to your own pool rather than being silently recycled to a stranger.

Built for the rules carriers actually enforce.

US carriers require registered 10DLC campaigns for application-to-person messaging. grpme records each number's campaign state rather than assuming it, so you always know which numbers are cleared to send.

Consent is handled per message, not per import: an inbound STOP flips that member to opted-out before any fan-out, and only an explicit START puts them back.

Start your first group.

Free to sign up, and the simulator is free to explore — no card needed for either.

A group with its own real number is $5.00 a month plus $0.015 a text for the first 500 each month, then carrier cost — about $0.0117 a text. No app for your members to install.
